  • Rediscovering the gospel

I was fortunate to find David Bentley Hart’s exposition of universalism around five years ago. His book has changed my life in so many ways, principally, reinforcing the imperative of the incarnate Christ and his central message which is we are all saved and this is good news – this podcast continues the important mission of bringing sense and meaning to what belief in a loving God entails

  • Illuminating, Inspiring

As a Christ lover who has escaped the "Plato's Cave" of conservative evangelicalism, I'm thankful for David Artman's podcast that features excellent scholars. God is love. God is light. God is good.

  • Great interviewer, interesting topic

Because of these interviews I’ve discovered many good books. I highly recommend the early podcasts as they are a great intro to the topic. And if you’ve never read any books on the subject I highly recommend Curt Parton’s ‘Until the Last One’s Found.’ I wouldn’t have known about this book if it wasn’t for you David. Thank you!

  • Hope for the hopeless

Universalist Christ is what the world needs. People need to hear the good news, but it needs to be a message of redemption. Jesus died on the cross FOR ALL. Buddhist. Muslim. Hindu. And yes, even atheists. For God so loved the world…not one is excluded. And this podcast drives that point home and relies upon scripture and the wisdom of the early church fathers and the most wonderful mystics who communed with God and came to know of God’s love FOR ALL without caveats. Thank you to the creators of... more

  • Thought provoking!

This a great podcast that both respects scripture and explores the ideas of the early church. I benefit so much!

(My only critique is Mr. Artman often interrupts his guests too much and they don’t get to finish their thought that us listeners are often hanging on to hear…)

Ep. 200 Lars Sandbeck - update on discussion about Christian Universalism in the Danish church (plus more reflections on the place of paradox and mystery in theology)
Q: Haven't you just really negated grace altogether?
The necessity of grace comes from the divine nature itself, not from coercion, meaning God is free to show love and grace, which aligns with who He is.
