  • Love this bite-sized wisdom

I stumbled on The Consistency Code on a library shelf and then found these daily podcasts after getting so much out of the book. Courtney is down to earth and wise, and I get more from her short takes on key health topics than I do out of the longer cookie-cutter podcasts where one wellness influencer interviews another. Really appreciate her commitment to a daily practice that is becoming my own daily practice.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Episode 623: Burnout, Hormones & the Hidden Mental Load w/ Jenn Pike
Q: What starting point would you offer a listener who feels overwhelmed and disconnected from their body?
Quiet outside noise to hear what you actually need, then identify one concrete area to improve, such as sleep or hydration, and introduce a pausing mechanism before making new purchases or adding tasks; simple, single changes can ripple into broader improvements.
Episode 623: Burnout, Hormones & the Hidden Mental Load w/ Jenn Pike
Q: What concerns you most about the things being sold to women in this life stage?
I'm worried about over-injection and rapid adoption of trendy interventions without long-term safety data, and about relying on symptoms alone without comprehensive testing that includes thyroid, gut, and metabolic health to guide decisions.
Episode 623: Burnout, Hormones & the Hidden Mental Load w/ Jenn Pike
Q: With all you've learned, how do you define health and wellness at midlife?
Wellness at midlife is a holistic state of feeling rested, moving through life with ease, maintaining quality relationships, sustainable energy, and trusting the body's internal signals, with digestion and sleep functioning well; it's a feeling of neutrality or happiness upon waking, not a look or a pinned achievement.
Episode 383: Midlife Sleep Solutions: Transform Your Night, Transform Your Life w/ Morgan Adams
Q: How do you define health?
Health is defined not just by external factors, but by how we feel, prioritizing behaviors that promote well-being over superficial indicators.
Episode 355: Beyond the Surface: Deepening the relationship you have with your body.
Q: How do you feel when your body responds in ways that are outside of those expectations?
Often, women react negatively and may berate their body instead of being curious about its needs.
