  • Some what concerned about the “factual information “

Think you need to be careful who you present. There are a lot of non facts which could be misleading to those who don’t know differently. “I think “ is very different from “this is a fact” !

  • Great podcast but

Can Claire please stop saying about 10 times an episode how she’s editor in chief and women’s health… we know! Gemma is great and very relatable and you discuss good topics especially when you had the PT on and Emily English x

Q: Why is strength training important during this life stage and how should it be approached?
The host and guest discuss that strength training helps mitigate sarcopenia, supports bone density, improves mood, and can protect cognitive health. The approach should be individualized, meeting people where they are, with progression that respects their current capability and avoids one-size-fits-all prescriptions.
Hormones, HRT, Libido & mood with The Menopause Medic
Q: Is there a main difference between perimenopause and menopause in terms of how easy they are to cope with?
The guests delineate perimenopause as a period of fluctuating hormones with variable symptoms, whereas menopause involves persistently low hormone levels after the ovarian reserve is exhausted, often more stable but with different challenges; both benefit from lifestyle foundations and personalized medical guidance.
Hormones, HRT, Libido & mood with The Menopause Medic
Q: What was it about your journey becoming the menopause medic? Why did you want to delve into it for yourself as a career?
Dr. Barton explains a long-standing, compassionate drive to improve women's health, especially around menopause, driven by clinical experiences and a desire to connect dots across symptoms that many patients struggle to link together. She emphasizes the need for evidence-based guidance and individualized care.
Angela Scanlon on Motherhood, Burnout and Learning to Slow Down
Q: What would you tell your 20-year-old self about the path ahead?
Chill the fuck out, trust yourself more, and understand that the twists and knockbacks are part of growth; staying flexible and resilient is more valuable than rigid perfection.

Q: How did motherhood change your perspective on work and life balance?
Motherhood forced a reckoning with self-worth and the realization that happiness isn't found only in work; it highlighted the need to sort out personal wellbeing and set healthier boundaries around careers and family time.
