There are certain shows that just hit you. It doesn’t matter how long time has passed—as soon as you hear that familiar intro song, it’s like boom! You’re instantly transported back home—grinning from ear to ear while catching up with old friends. That’s Genesis Gems for me. As a friend of both Nick and Aaron, I have always admired them and how kind, likable, and easygoing they are. As podcasters, they’re such a great team and the fun and chemistry is genuinely felt in every single episode. If a... more
One of my favorite podcasts over the years - always enjoyable no matter the game n
I have been listening for a couple of years now and I can honestly say it’s my favourite podcast! Nick and Aaron have found their groove and bounce off each other really well. I love the laid back attitude combined with the solid and informed information. The only criticism I have is we need more! Although I don’t hold this against them considering they’re both fathers and do this for a hobby! Keep up the good work and thank you so much!
In the 8 Bit era I was Nintendo all the way. But for me the 90’s was the era of the Sega Genesis. It was the console from my middle school years and this podcast really takes me back.
If you were born between 1980 and 1985 you need to listen to this podcast. And if you want to experience the greatest rivalry since the St. Louis Cardinals and Chicago Cubs, you can’t go wrong with a Genesis Gems and 2 Dudes and a NES binge.
Just amazing I love it!! Please keep up the hard and awesome work you put into this. I so wish you did more. I am 42 and had a mega drive on launch. Every episode takes me back to my child hood. 👍
