  • Maybe the best podcast ever???

The most recent episode featuring Cass Adair is, no exaggeration, my single favorite episode in all of podcasting. (And I listen to over 100 shows!) Truly, I find the process of writing podcast reviews to be so tedious that I’ve only ever written one before this, and I *ran* to write one as soon as I finished the episode.

Ally and Babette ask such insightful questions, and Cass provides such thoughtful, digestible, and well-articulated responses.

I’m so happy this exists. They both have different places they’re coming from, and get you to think about what it really means to be queer. Incredibly relatable. And when I can’t relate, I get to learn something new. Not to mention, they’re both really fun people

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Suing the Government (w/ Zander Schlacter)
Q: What made you decide to then go from there to like suing the State Department?
Receiving the incorrect passport was crushing. I used my studio time to express my feelings through art, which led me to share my story online and ultimately connect with Lambda Legal to pursue the lawsuit.
Suing the Government (w/ Zander Schlacter)
Q: Could you possibly give us an overview of why this is happening and then kind of like your own experience of receiving like an incorrect passport?
The incorrect passports are due to a Trump executive order that mandates passports reflect an individual's assigned sex at birth rather than their chosen gender identity. I received my passport with the incorrect gender marker after applying for an update following my legal name change.
Transitions and Tattoos (w/ Eoin McGraw)
Q: Could you maybe take us through how you've come to embody your current gender identity? What has that process been like for you?
Eoin discusses how his identity ties to his experiences with tattooing and how he navigated challenges in coming out, reflecting on his past relationships and his journey towards understanding his gender identity.
My Best Trans Wedding (w/ Rose Dommu)
Q: How did you find the experience of writing fiction?
It was both exciting and scary, as no one tells you you're allowed to write a novel; you just have to do it.
My Best Trans Wedding (w/ Rose Dommu)
Q: Is your novel based on a true story?
It's loosely inspired by my own experience of going to my brother's wedding early in my transition.
