  • DHEA

Just finished listening to my first episode, interview with Tammy Hatfield and I LOVE the energy & passion shared between her and Amber. It’s real! I heard mention of a patient’s DHEA level of 11 & it made me stop & rewind because my DHEA is 9.7 and testosterone is <2.5. I have spent so much $ in the last 6m seeing functional medicine providers and they just want to treat me for either chronic Lyme or parasites. I’m pulling my hair out because I know my hormones are out of control. Plus I had my... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

The Brain-Body Connection: How the Autism Protocol Transforms Neurological Health
Q: What practical dietary or lifestyle changes do you recommend for families at home?
Prioritize dairy-free and gluten-free approaches, choose organic to avoid pesticides, and focus on gut-supporting strategies like targeted probiotics, quality fats (omega-3s), protein, and nutrient-dense foods; reduce screen time to promote social engagement, and consider functional tests when available to tailor interventions.
The Brain-Body Connection: How the Autism Protocol Transforms Neurological Health
Q: What are the most important early indicators that a child might have autism?
Observing the child, taking a detailed birth and development history, and noting patterns like language delays, social and motor milestones, plus abrupt changes or regressions help clinicians build a strong suspicion early on; a formal diagnosis often requires a developmental specialist, but early dietary and therapeutic interventions can begin sooner based on observed signs.
Built Different: Bioidentical Hormones and the Future of Men's Health
Q: Why hormones? Why HRT?
After cancer treatment, the guest found his hormones severely depleted, which explained fatigue, irritability, and lack of motivation. Restoring hormones through bioidentical therapy significantly improved energy, mood, sleep, and overall quality of life, leading him to advocate for a holistic, data-driven approach to men's health.
Testosterone Uncovered: New FDA Guidance and What It Means for You
Q: What are some practical steps young men can take to preserve testosterone if they're not yet candidates for testosterone replacement therapy?
Young men can use HCG or a compound like N-chlomophen to help raise testosterone levels without suppressing their own production.
Episode 51: Cholesterol Explained: A Functional Medicine Perspective with Dr. Mark Holthouse, MD
Q: What should I do to make the most of my limited workout time?
Focus on high-intensity interval training combined with heavy lifting to maximize benefits, while allowing for sufficient recovery time.
