  • Ssshhh

Some great guests but he needs to let them speak. Stop interrupting them and let them answer the questions. O’Brien keeps chipping in assuming he knows what they are going to say. Less O’Brien more guest.

  • Love it

I listen regularly and the most recent one with James Rebanks was very moving. Having read his books I was eager to hear him talk and the interview revealed the man I hoped for.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Carol Vorderman LIVE! Numbers, Politics, and Finding Her Voice
Q: What would you say is the most egregious thing you've witnessed in the world of politics in the last 14 years?
The PPE scandal stands out to me as a prime example due to the stark contrast between the general public's kindness and the greed displayed by some politicians during that time.
80 years on from the liberation of Auschwitz - James O'Brien Daily
Q: What do you take from Laurence Rees's book?
The book serves as a template to understand how the conditions for atrocities can arise, emphasizing that societal complacency and the fragility of democracy make us vulnerable to such events.
80 years on from the liberation of Auschwitz - James O'Brien Daily
Q: How do the ordinary people get involved?
Ordinary people become involved through a gradual normalization of extreme behaviors and ideologies within a society, often encouraged by authority figures and through societal pressure.
Baroness Lola Young: From foster care to the House of Lords
Q: How did your upbringing in foster care shape your identity?
Being in foster care was a big part of my identity and still is, and I think it helped me develop a strong sense of empathy and understanding for others in similar situations.
Baroness Lola Young: From foster care to the House of Lords
Q: What was your reaction when you initially learned that you were in foster care?
It was an emotional realization for me, understanding that I had spent more time with my mother than I initially believed, which added to the complexity of my feelings toward her decision.
