  • Brilliant

What a great interview with Sadiq Khan. So much of what he said is why we should remember the wonderful city and country we have - diverse, vibrant and on the side of equality. I remember what it was like in the 80s as an Irish person and that’s not a patch on what the black and brown communities went through. Forget the billionaire run media, get back to community living and listening to individuals. Wonderful. 👏

  • Great podcast

James always gets the best out of people and can keep the conversation going even if the guest is struggling. I like Martin Shaw but he was hard work. I don’t know if it’s his age, but James had to really keep asking questions to keep the interview flowing.

I have come to this podcast late. I have just listened to his conversation with Bill Nighy. I enjoy listening to Bill Nighy speak about anything I liked the easy relaxed questioning. The interviewee was the star not the interviewer. Will listen to some more episodes

Q: How did your early experiences with poverty and abuse influence your decision to pursue public life and leadership?
Those experiences taught me that leadership is about resilience, responsibility to others, and changing systems that perpetuate harm, not about personal glory; they fuelled my drive to fight for better policies and to help others in difficult situations.

Q: What did your mum say when you told her you were going to stick it out there and tell your story?
She already knew about much of it, but the decision to go public was a strategic move within a larger campaign to set the record straight and push for justice, even if she did not immediately consent to every step.

Gary Lineker LIVE! “It’s Hard Not to Get Involved”

He explains a clear interest in journalism from a young age, practicing match reports, observing reporters, and gradually planning a move into punditry and broadcasting as alternative paths if football didn't pan out.
Gary Lineker LIVE! “It’s Hard Not to Get Involved”
Q: When did you first feel that you wanted to be a professional footballer?
He recalls the influence of his father's work ethic and the initial pull toward football, alongside a reality check about his growth spurts and late puberty, which delayed but did not derail his dream.
