  • Great podcast, content, and guests!

Recently found the Men's Therapy podcast and really appreciate it! The guests and topics are so interesting and informative! Enjoyed your conversation with Janet Elaine Schmit. What really resonated with me was her journey, seeing angels and how she came to learn about energy and consciousness. Her story of reprogramming her energy and beliefs from self-limiting to self-enhancing beliefs was inspiring. Tons of amazing takeaways in this episode!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

The Most Dangerous Men Look Nice
Q: Do you think the person has to address the core wound with their parent to heal, or can the work be done internally?
He argues that true healing is becoming a person who no longer needs parental acknowledgment, and that while conversations with a parent can be healing, the core work is internal transformation and re-framing of relationships and self-worth.
The Most Dangerous Men Look Nice
Q: So I always like to start with a personal story. So what got you into doing this work?
Nima explains that his drive came from his own relationships and a wake-up call after experiencing violence; he sought deeper healing through Polyvagal Theory, attachment work, breathwork, and somatic practices, ultimately integrating these into a system to help others break cycles of trauma.
Why We Can’t Stop Working: Inside a Workaholic’s Mind
Q: What practical steps can someone take right away to begin balancing work and life?
Begin with small behavioral experiments like taking partial Sundays off, scheduling gratitude journaling, and using those breaks to reconnect with loved ones or pursue low-stakes activities that provide perspective.
Why We Can’t Stop Working: Inside a Workaholic’s Mind
Q: How do you know if you're a workaholic or just a hustler?
The guest explains that true workaholism mirrors addiction: you use work to self-soothe, it serves as a coping mechanism during conflicts, and you may need to work harder to feel the same relief due to an escalatory cycle.
Most Men Don’t Recover From Divorce… Here’s Why
Q: What is the role of self-work in preventing or recovering from divorce?
Understanding personal triggers, healing childhood wounds, and learning healthier communication reframe the relationship dynamics. Without this internal work, practical arrangements won't prevent repeating the same patterns in future relationships.
