Finding Rose Skeeters years ago began my path in recovery, there is tremendous stigma and hopelessness surrounding BPD. Rose tackles the intricacies of this condition and gives practical guidance and tools in a straightforward, no nonsense yet compassionate manner .
My ex-wife almost certainly has undiagnosed BPD. I figured this out after leaving her. Which is tragic for both of us cause we love(d) each other very very much. BPD can be very destructive for both partners and it’s no-one’s fault. If you love someone with BPD and you can get them to be tested for it, they’ll need your support. It’ll be hard work, and you’ll need to look after yourself, but they ARE worth it as they have a lot to give.
I’ve seen many different therapists throughout my adult life, but nothing really clicked because I never felt truly understood. The intrusive thoughts I shared were often pushed aside, belittled, or met with comments like “just think positive.” I felt alien to other people and couldn’t understand why.
