  • Insufferable Bozos

Two insufferable bozos who rely on "Harvard" name dropping while pushing a very one sided agenda, all while showing they have imposter syndrome.

  • “Like…”

Oh my word, try as I may, I could not plod through Edith Zimmerman saying, like”, for the nth time…the interviewer threw in his share, too. Hopefully that habit is fixable. Excruciating.

  • This episode made no sense

The episode was positioned as how to not let work dominate your life and it was never that. It instructed people on how to form a union, became chaotic around climate change and then started talking about grief. It made zero sense

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Finding Purpose: How to find your purpose (w/ Master Fixer Molly Graham)
Q: Molly, should I be looking for purpose in my work or in my life, and how does that work in practice?
Purpose is not a single job title but a continuous alignment of what energizes you, what you are good at, and what people will pay you to do. The process is ongoing and dynamic, involving reflection, experimentation, and choosing next steps that feel right, even if they're not the obvious career move.
Finding Purpose: Why you should stop chasing your “dream job” (w/ Emily the Recruiter)
Q: How should someone approach quitting gracefully when they have an offer?
Don't quit until you have an offer or financial cushion; have a candid career touchpoint with your boss, express appreciation, and discuss a plan to transition smoothly.
Finding Purpose: Why you should stop chasing your “dream job” (w/ Emily the Recruiter)
Q: What coaching would you give to someone early in their career who loves animals and is unsure how to find a path?
Encourage exploration, focus on getting a role that gets you in the door, and then align purpose chips elsewhere (volunteering, mentorship, CSR) to broaden meaning across life and work.
How to stop checking your email, avoid burnout, and build better stress habits (w/ Master Fixer Kelly McGonigal)
Q: How can I tell if I'm experiencing burnout or just normal stress?
Burnout involves disengagement and a loss of meaning in work, plus persistent difficulty connecting with people and a sense that efforts don't matter, whereas stress can be managed with reinvigoration and social support.
How to prevent burnout (w/ Master Fixer Guy Winch)
Q: What role do leaders play in preventing burnout within their organizations?
Leaders should model healthy boundaries, implement regular breaks, create supportive cultures, delegate with trust, and foster a sense of belonging and camaraderie to reduce isolation and pressure that drive burnout.
