  • Good messaging on fueling, but anti-trans

Her messaging on fueling for women and girls is so good, and she gets good guests. But she uses dog-whistle anti trans language (“biological females”), and feels compelled to “just ask questions” and interject personal anecdotes that reek of white woman victim hood (she lost a competition to a man once! It really hurt her feelings!) when they really aren’t relevant. There’s also pretty heavy Christian overtones, so if that’s not what you’re looking for in a sports nutrition podcast, be aware.

  • Surprised I didn’t know about this til now!

I found out about this podcast reading the Fast Women newsletter and discovered a library of information on running and nutrition. “IBS” (listen to understand the quotes), Red-S without being underweight but still not fueling properly, the dearth in scientific research on women—this pod addresses it all.
