As someone who has just recently started the zepbound journey and has struggled with their weight for years, I am enjoying Dr. Cooper's medical explanations that you won't get in your local doctor's office. I want to understand what I'm taking and how it's working in my body. The 4 star rating is because the comic relief aspect from one of the other hosts is more annoying than funny. I fast forward through those and it provides no value to me as a listener.
I’ve tried listening to this podcast several times, the issue I continually find is the lack of science. The doctor tends to use generalizations—no actual studies. Speaks on areas that are not her “supposed” specialty like menopause. She told women what to do, sounds like “medical advice” uninformed medical advice. I wanted this to be a better experience but that’s what she speaks from “her experience,” and a lot of what she does as she explains to listeners has no studies to back it up. I’m ove... more
I enjoy the podcast but I’m disappointed in their negative portrayal of compounded medication. They portray all compounded pharmacies as scam machines and that’s simply not the case especially with 503b pharmacies subject to FDA oversight. People with limited finances deserve treatment as well.
Dr.Cooper is a breath of fresh air! I learn something new every single episode. Thank you!
This podcast is my favorite. Dr Cooper is so experienced, informed and intelligent with a wonderful side of humility too. Mark adds a nice tone too. My one criticism is that Andrea tends to be comic relief and it’s hard to listen to her talk over someone to get a laugh. I’m here for the best information and not the sillier side. This is probably my favorite podcast about GLP1s.
