  • Yes… but

I desperately want an ADHD podcast that is science based. There is so much pseudo science around. This is really interesting, in theory, but the conversations are rambling and not that engaging to listen to. It needs to keep the topics but get some “slick”!

Episode 17 with Professor Christian Beste
Q: How does your research address ADHD?
The research questions the conventional understanding of ADHD and suggests it may be a disorder of event segmentation rather than solely about attention deficits.
Episode 17 with Professor Christian Beste
Q: How would you define action control?
Action control integrates perceptual processes and motor processes, allowing for goal-directed actions. It encompasses inhibitory control, attentional processes, executive functioning, and memory.
Episode 21- Is Rhythm a dancer, after all? with Anders Rasmussen
Q: What is the specificity and sensitivity for detecting ADHD?
We found very high sensitivity and specificity for the finger tapping test; however, it should not be used in isolation for diagnosis.
Episode 21- Is Rhythm a dancer, after all? with Anders Rasmussen
Q: What was the question that you were answering when you did your research?
I was interested in the cerebellum and how we could use tasks to measure its function for ADHD assessments.
Q&A Part 3- Max debunks things
Q: Retained reflexes. Is it an actual thing and do exercises help?
No, there's no scientific evidence that retained reflexes affect ADHD or autism, and while some exercises may help with sensory needs, they don’t address retained reflexes.
