  • Nice, but…

Just listened to the episode with Roger and Sarina… would have been nice if Paul and Mine didn’t have loudly talk over them at any opportunity.

  • Highly irritating

I listened to the episode with Sarina and Roger Taylor. A lot of the time it was almost impossible to hear what they were saying over the braying voices of Whitehouse and his wife. I bet Roger went home with another bout of tinnitus. I thought that Sarina was talked over and that her emotional reaction was brushed over and rather patronised. All Whitehouse was really interested in was taking to Roger about drummers. John Robins on his “How Do You Cope” podcast would have done a much better job.

  • I’m not ADHD!

In a world where it seems everyone is suddenly ADHD (which in some cases doesn’t seem to accurately define all) I was really interested to learn more from a non-adhd person perspective. If we do get to a point where more people have it then don’t, then I don’t think that’s a reason to mock / ignore it. The behaviours / struggles are real and worse still, the punishments they receive for these (now) explainable issues can be traumatic. I’m now starting to understand more about those people around... more

  • Please sort out your sound equipment

Been with you since the start, I enjoy the chaos, entertainment and education but please please please sort out your mics, your voices especially the guests at times are so quiet, I have to give up listening in the car sometimes. Invest in some decent mics, speak to Adam Buxton about mics.

  • Excellent show, but you have to bear with the hosts

This is a show about ADHD. You need to bear in mind that 2/3 of the people on the show probably have a tendency to talk over each other. Some great guests, insightful conversation and genuinely funny and interesting.

Q: What do you think is the future of work for neurodivergent individuals, and how should workplaces adapt to ensure genuine inclusion?
Workplaces need to embed adjustments by design, train teams to interact with neurodivergent colleagues, and move away from tokenistic measures toward universal, accessible practices that don't require disclosure of neurodivergence.
Dan Harris & Joshie: Cake Not Hate
Q: You've spoken a lot about learning to listen differently as a parent to a non-speaking autistic child. What does Joshie continue to teach you about communication that no book or training could?

Shaun Keaveny: I Should Be Pulling Turnips
Q: What role does creativity play in turning ADHD traits into strengths in your career?
Shaun and the hosts explain that traits like rapid idea generation, high energy, and a talent for storytelling have been assets when paired with structure, collaboration, and selective focus on exciting, time-bound tasks.
Shaun Keaveny: I Should Be Pulling Turnips
Q: What practical strategies have helped you manage ADHD in demanding media work?
The guests discuss a mix of self-awareness, boundary setting with agents and colleagues, leveraging support networks, choosing quieter days when possible, and using humor to cope with setbacks.
Shaun Keaveny: I Should Be Pulling Turnips
Q: When were you diagnosed with ADHD, and how did the timing affect you personally and professionally?
Shaun shares that he was diagnosed around 2022, during the COVID lockdown, which added context to his previous experiences and helped him understand the patterns in his behavior; the diagnosis clarified many past experiences and reframed his career challenges.
