  • New Host so good!

Updating for 2026: gets better all the time. Zoe Ball ep was great.

Mel has brought this podcast back from the dead! Kathy was awesome and then it lost its way a little but now there’s a permanent host again it’s back and Mel is such a great, and always enthusiastic interviewer. She’s so generous and genuine with her laughter - very natural and hilarious. Death affirming!!

  • Hmmm

It’s definitely not what it was & Kathy was a hard act to follow. The amount of adverts on this podcast is ridiculous. Shame as it used to be so good!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Here Lies Gbemisola Ikumelo
Q: What was the premise of Last One Laughing Season 2 as discussed here?
It's described as a game show where comedians try not to laugh in a room filled with distractions and fellow performers, creating a tense, funny, and physically exhausting experience for the contestants.
Here Lies Adam Hills
Q: How did you go, Adam?
Adam responds by noting he expected the questions and emphasizes that he feels his life has been well-lived and that the idea of a peaceful, loving end is important.
Here Lies Harriet Kemsley
Q: What would your ideal funeral look like, and how would you want people to remember you?
Harriet imagines a vivid, celebratory spectacle rather than a somber affair, with a playful theme (like a shell-shaped coffin and a lift down a mountain) and drinks served in the aisle, aiming for a party-like atmosphere rather than formal rigidity.
Here Lies Mark Kermode
Q: What would your last words be?
In keeping with The Exorcist theme, Mark muses that the last words should be cinematic and memorable, with humorous consideration of famous last lines and a desire for a dramatic, heroic exit.
Here Lies Vittorio Angelone
Q: Are you worried about when you die?
I'm more worried about everybody else.
