Much as I love this podcast, and I adore Kathy and Mel in equal measure, the intrusive and relentless ads have made this a chore to listen to. Such a shame.
I didn’t think I could love Alex Lowe any more than I already do BUT he has a blanky!!! Oh my my ! The world needs more Alex and more blanky snugglers

I enjoy listening to Mel, I feel that the podcast is slightly warmer now… however, it feels like there are more ads, more frequently, in this show than any other podcast I listen to and I do find the songs a bit intrusive. Hopefully a bit of constructive criticism!
This used to be my favourite podcast which I would eagerly listen to on release. Unfortunately the spark left with Kathy. The purgatory episodes were a bit ‘meh’ and I looked forward to Mel hosting, as I have enjoyed her presenting on tv shows. Unfortunately this podcast feels unsuited to her presenting style.
Should have finished on a high with Kathy, leaving the listener wanting more. A shame as I no longer listen

A humorous British interview show that treats mortality with warmth and wit. Guests from comedy, film, music, and television explore ideal funerals, last meals, and end-of-life wishes, often sharing personal anecdotes, cultural quirks, and tongue-in-cheek hypotheticals. The host keeps the tone light and supportive, blending candid storytelling with pop culture riffs, silly games, and heartfelt moments. Notable strengths include a welcoming host personality, a revolving door of high-profile guests, and a distinctive, life-affirming take on a once-taboo topic. Potential listeners may be drawn to witty banter, engaging guest conversations, and imaginative, human-centered conversations about death and legacy.
