  • Excellent content (just finished ep. 133)

I just found this podcast and I’ve already listened to 3 extremely insightful and inspiring episodes. I just see all the topics and I can’t wait to dive into them. I love how Dr. Benjamin Hardy basically explains how we as humans should strive for evolution by not settling on the 2x, but always going for the 10x improvement!

  • A life changing podcast!

I found this podcast as I was starting to learn about essentialism. Listening to Greg and his guests, and applying the valuable insights I’ve learnt into my own life has made a tremendous difference in how I spend my time and my overall physical and mental health. Greg reminds me of what truly matters and the many pitfalls we can stumble upon when living a life in default mode. Thanks to Greg I have been able to reduce my working hours and I now spend time pursuing a dream of mine helping others... more

  • Language!

I always look forward to your podcast but especially loved hearing about language and possibilities on your episode with Matthew McConaughey. I am studying to be a marriage and family Therapist and I am studying at a program that was founded by one of the pioneers of the field, Harleen Andersen. Her book Conversation, Language & Possibilities is life changing. She would be an incredible guest but either way I think you would really appreciate her book.

  • No 352 Chaos to Clarity

Thank you Greg & Alison. Have just listened on a journey with my husband and we have both enjoyed it and taken notes of things to try. Some really interesting ideas. I like the idea of free writing as a journal always feels like it needs to be neat. Messy is where the magic happens! Thanks.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

A CIA Hacker's Take on Fixing Your Brain - Dr.Eric Cole
Q: What convinced you that measuring value against risk was the right framework to adopt in security and life?
I learned to ask, what is the value or benefit, what is the risk or exposure, and is the value worth the risk? If not, I look for ways to reduce risk to an acceptable level. This way of thinking—data-driven decisions over emotion—became the backbone of how I operate in both technology and life.
Harvard Psychologist: The Reason Your Arguments Always Fail (Do This Instead) - Dr. Julia Minson
Q: Can you give an example of a practical phrase from the framework that listeners can use today?
A simple but powerful line is, 'Let me see if I understand you,' which invites the other person to confirm or correct your understanding and buys a moment to respond with care rather than react defensively.
367. Poems, Prayers, and the Courage to Believe with Matthew McConaughey
Q: What does true optimism mean to you?
McConaughey defines true optimism as actionable belief that comes with effort and a plan to achieve it, beyond mere positive thinking.
367. Poems, Prayers, and the Courage to Believe with Matthew McConaughey
Q: What inspired you to write this book?
McConaughey shares that he wanted to combat cynicism and promote belief in ideals through the lens of poetry and spirituality.
363. Maximal Fitness with Minimum Time with Ben Greenfield (Part 2)
