Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

You Don’t Have to Relive Your Trauma to Release It
Q: How specific should people be about what they're feeling when they tap?
Any amount of specificity helps, but even general statements work well; with practice, specificity tends to emerge, and the process often reveals underlying emotions that weren't initially clear.
You Don’t Have to Relive Your Trauma to Release It
Q: Can you walk us through the EFT protocol, and does it vary depending on what you're hoping to achieve?
Start by tapping through a simple setup statement to acknowledge the feeling, then proceed through tapping points one by one; you don't need to hit every point or identify every emotion—any amount of tapping helps, and deeper insights often surface during the process.
Your Mind Moved On. Your Body Didn't. (How Somatic Therapy Helps)
Q: So I would just love if you could share a bit about how you work with people and how you use oils in your practice.
We use a holistic approach across four circles—physical, emotional, social/relational, and spiritual—to rebuild safety and integration after trauma. Oils are used as a sensory entry point to calm the nervous system and invite the person back into their body, with an emphasis on titration and mindful attention to what the body notices in the moment.
What Anxiety Is Really Trying to Tell You
Q: What should someone do in the moment of an anxiety attack or overwhelming moment?
Use a gap in 60 seconds to interrupt the pattern, acknowledge feelings, and choose one of several quick techniques (e.g., breathing, cognitive statements, or a pattern interrupt) to redirect energy and begin reprocessing the experience.
What Anxiety Is Really Trying to Tell You
Q: What are the five steps of the neuro cycle, and how should listeners apply them in real life?
The five steps are gather awareness, reflect, mindstorm, recheck, and take action; listeners are guided to progressively engage with their signals, deconstruct thoughts, rewrite them into healthier patterns, and implement small daily actions for long-term change.
