I used to love this podcast. Now episodes feel flat and stagnant. I personally used to love the emphasis on Women’s strength and nutrition from an evidence based perspective. Now that the scope has expanded, I feel like what made the podcast unique and intriguing is gone. There are so many other great science based strength podcasts I can listen to, this one gets lost.
I listened to the podcast when Mary was on it and liked it but I find it so much better with the new cohost. She sounds more positive and there’s a good flow between the two. I’m excited to get back into lifting and continue listening to the podcast. It always motivates
The shows seemed interesting and was excited to see the female hosts. After a handful of episodes, I had to stop listening because Mary sounded immature and whiny, I felt it was embarrassing for this female strength podcast. I came back to this podcast because someone recommended it again and am pleasantly surprised to see that Mary had left. I’ll give it another shot. One way to make the show better is to continue to base all advice on science.
I stopped listening when Mary’s replacement stated “no one wants to work anymore” in an episode, referring to servers in restaurants. No “Karen”, we want to work. We just don’t want to work a low wage job in conditions that make us more susceptible to catch an infectious disease during a pandemic, so we can serve people like you. more
I just listened to the static hold episode and the combination of science and practicality really hit home. This podcast is subscribed and will be my go to for my cardio sessions.
