Serene is doing a great job at shining a light on a very important topic. Emotional abuse is hard to define and difficult to detect, especially when you are in the throes of a toxic relationship. Hopefully this podcast will help others create healthy relationships and leave toxic relationships.
I love this podcast because it has a variety of survivors of emotional abuse. Some survivors are anonymous and some not. It also includes a therapist’s perspective on this sensitive issue. Emotional abuse can occur in a range of interpersonal relationships, including familial, parental, romantic, or professional. In this podcast, all of those relationships are represented. In a couple of instances, Sarene narrates the guest’s story for them. more
I loved the episodes as they are about real people telling their stories. I love the honesty. I am glad Sarene is addressing this issue which is not openly acknowledged. She is providing a platform to confront and share our stories. more
