Long time no talk, but I just wanted to give a shout out to the print edition of Night's Knights by Emerian Rich
Great Story! Excellent Series!
To bad, it sounded interesting...
I really wanted to like this book. So much potential and some quality storytelling. But some of the voice acting and character decisions takes me straight out of the story. The female lead’s accents makes it difficult to believe her characters. And ridiculous decisions by supposed educated and smart people just made it impossible to continue to listening. Impressive scope and some great storytelling. But the details makes it 3 stars.
Well written, and well read.
The story itself is good, but the narration is downright painful at times. Very wooden performance by the characters, and the inflection and accents are ridiculous. I'm halfway through and desperately trying to move forward.
This is a great story and is the most complete conspiracy theory ever. And it's all true. Links to current and past news events make this a different style of story, which suits the conspiracy idea perfectly. I don't go in for these type of story usually but this is well worth a listen.
Only reason it doesn't get 5stars is some character lines are not always believable and it can jar you out of the story at times and some acting is a bit contrived. But these are fairly few an far between.

there's a pretty good story in there trying to get out from under all of the political undertones. obviously politics will be an influence in most contemporary thrillers but this one is just overpowering.
I was really enjoying this and am always happy when more than one reader is used in an audiobook... but when the female lead entered the story, I was totally ripped outside of the world that had been created and the guy doing Tony makes me cringe whenever he speaks (not entirely his fault as his lines would be difficult for the best actor to pull off). Sorry to be so harsh... Still, aside from some subpar acting, this was fun and exciting.
Hoping for more 5 star stories like Heavenfield, We'r... more
The story itself is a good idea, however the voices are just awful! I kept waiting for them to try to get into the story, but they just sounded like they were reading it off a paper and had no emotion or idea of what really was going on in the story in order to pull the listener in. So disappointed, won't be looking for anything more from this author.
Mycket bra!
I just lisened to this during a 6 hour drive to San Francisco, got to my hotel and listned to another episode before forcing my self to stop so I could shower. What can I say... I'm hooked
The story is great, and the idea really grabs the listener. The only downsides are poor voice acting with way too many cheesy accents, and outro music so loud and discordant as to make the eardrums beg for mercy.
Belly up to the bar peeps and get your New World Orders, by E.G. Talblot. The conspiracy is not over yet! This was a very enjoyable listen that engaged this reader and made this a two day listen. Global warming and ultimately perceived superiority will have you wanting more from these two very talented authors!
A great plot, engaging characters, I will be sad when the story is finished, check this one out
I heard about New World Orders when Stephen Kilbride interviewed the authors on his "Tea and Chat" podcast. Scott Sigler's "Nocturnal" was coming to an end and I wanted something else to listen to and I must say I'm enjoying it a lot. It's a topical story which the authors have clearly researched well. Each issue has plenty of action - certainly enough to keep you coming back for more, and whilst it's just possibly a little far-fetched it's a very enjoyable listen. Thanks "Edward G Talbot"!
