  • Great training and nutrition content

Bryan and Aaron have so much knowledge when it comes to training and nutrition. They also have great chemistry and are great at allowing each other to answer when they think the other host will have more knowledge on a question. One of my go to pods, highly recommend!

  • Great discussions, tips, advice for strength focused athletes

Really open, thoughtful discussions with the right balance of personal anecdotes and thoughtful advice

Edit: surprised these guys have less than 60 reviews as of November 2024 given how much useful content they cover in a very practical way.

  • Awesome!

I really appreciate the podcast, you guys give the most practical take aways out of the “evidence based” podcasts. It’s like talking to your more informed and practiced-fitness friends about working out. My favorite podcast each week to listen to on my commute.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

March 2026 Q&A | ETP#212
Q: How do you approach heavy weight sets for hypertrophy?
Using a heavy weight around a 5-6 RM for multiple sets can be effective for hypertrophy, but it requires more total sets to accumulate sufficient stimulus. It's about balancing set quantity with intensity and total time in the gym.
March 2026 Q&A | ETP#212
Q: What's your take on keeping exercises the same versus changing them frequently?
There's value in keeping key movements the same to measure progress and diagnose plateaus, especially early on. As training age grows, there's a case for being more flexible with exercise selection to optimize enjoyment and possibly hypertrophy, but it should be graduated and not random.
March 2026 Q&A | ETP#212
Q: Why did you start TRT and how has it affected you personally?
I started TRT after noticing signs of low testosterone; labs showed a low but not hypogonadal level. Since starting, energy, mood, sleep, and overall energy have improved, though it's not a magic fix and results can vary. They're monitoring labs and adjusting dosage as needed.
December 2025 Instagram Q&A | ETP#205
Q: If you've been training seriously for approximately five years, but you barely ever did any direct arm work, do you think you could still get almost quote unquote newbie gains in your arms once you finally start training them?
No, while you may notice some improvement in arms, the gains from direct training will not equate to newbie gains due to the prior stimulus received from other exercises.
December 2025 Instagram Q&A | ETP#205
Q: What strength number are you most proud of, as in what lift and how heavy?
Both hosts express pride in their snatch lifts of 255 pounds, emphasizing the significance of technique and personal progress in Olympic lifting.
