It's pronounced Dad, the "dumb" is silent. Comedians Kevin Laferriere and Evan Kyle Berger are just a couple of dads trying to have a little fun along the way. We believe the only way to erase the stigma that Dumb Dads get painted with is to parent harder, not dumber. Brought to you by Realm

  • Miss the old format

I used to love this podcast when it was free form. I don’t listen anymore with guests being the center of each episode, but I wish you guys luck!

  • Soon to be Dumb Dad

Hi guys, I am a trucker and just completed binge listening (11 hours a day for 26 days) to all 296 episodes. My spouse and I are currently going through the adoption process(for 3 girls ages 5; 7: and 9); and I have been listening to different parenting podcasts most of which have left me feeling completely inept. Listening to you guys has helped me realize that I can do this.

Love the Dumb Dads! They get me through the fall of Why Mommy Drinks. I only wish they would sort out their sound quality.

  • Timeless

Just started listening to the podcast with the beginning episode. The quarantine episodes were hilarious and jostled memories for me that I have totally blocked out.

The Podcast is hilarious and I really enjoy it!

They say sarcasm is the lowest form of comedy. If anything, Kevin and Evan have disproven that old adage. Keep up the great work. And I can’t wait for the next 200+ episodes. I need to listen to to catch up to be current.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Rob Cantor
Q: What is the process like when writing music for kids' shows?
The process usually starts with a script indicating where the music fits, including creative discussions about the song's energy and context.
Rob Cantor
Q: How did the idea of the Shia Labeouf video come about?
The idea originated while helping a friend move and began chanting nonsensically about Sockajewia, which eventually inspired the song.
Jay Larson
Q: Did you have a father figure in your life that you really looked up to?
I didn't have one. I had soccer coaches who were rad. My high school soccer coach let me borrow his car and was really cool.
Jay Larson
Q: So Jay, as a stand up and as a parent, how do you do it?
I turned it down a long time ago. I wanted to be a dad in fifth grade. I had kids' names in the back of my notebook.
Nicole Burch
Q: What is something that should go away from parenting forever?
The overwhelming number of school-related apps that never work as intended and just create confusion and stress.
