How many times do you hear an interviewer ask the same boring questions and get the same rehearsed answers? That's NOT what you'll get here. Dustin Sherman is a fan, not just an interviewer. He listens to these artists and digs deep to give us interesting and unique takes. Some of the episodes are people I know, some of them are not - but I've enjoyed them all, and discovered some new favorites from this podcast and the Spotify playlist Sherman updates each ep. There's an ease and a quickness fr... more
This is the only podcast I've ever listened to more than once. The host has a down to earth, laid back style and genuinely knows the background of his interviewees and the music they make. He doesn't ask the standard cookie-cutter questions you hear from most journalists and more often than not is able to build a rapport with his subjects very early in his interviews...I'm sure the beverages they share have a little to do with it ;) but I truly do enjoy listening...do yourself a favor and check... more
What do craft brews and interviewers have in common? They're both better if there's a good head on them. Dustin asks questions that are smart and original, and we are rewarded with a candid conversation that is informative and entertaining. Can't wait to hear more!
My favorite part of this podcast is how my much knowledge from actual fandom that the host has. Not to say he is some crazed fan that rattles on about their favorite song from back in the day but a competent interviewer who speaks to these artist as a fan with a critical eye because of how much he loves music. ๐๐๐
Really good stuff! Looking forward to future episodes.
