  • Love it, however…

I love Dr. Streicher! As a happily married conservative Christian man, however, the could do without her leftwing politics. Other than that, she’s brilliant, informative and is really beneficial to me and my wife. Love you! Keep up the good work!

  • Informative, honest, and insightful!

This podcast is a comprehensive and engaging women’s health podcast and I listen in every week often times relistening to my favorites. I truly appreciate the vast array of topics and expert guest speakers she brings on, as well as her evidence-based approach to every discussion.

What really stands out is her ability to highlight not only what we do know, but also where research is lacking and how politics and policy impact women’s health. The FDA roundtable episode was particularly enlightenin... more

  • Life-changing information

Highly recommend! I am so grateful for Dr. Streicher and her podcast! It’s difficult to find factual, helpful, unbiased information about perimenopause and menopause. This arms you with information to better understand what’s happening in your body. It’s information that makes women feel empowered to discuss treatment with their doctors, and it helped me to find the right doctor who understands menopause and is interested in helping patients. I have learned so much! Thank you, Dr. Streicher.

  • Thank you!

Thank you Dr Steicher and Dr Menn for this amazing conversation about sexual health post breast cancer. This was me a few months ago …before a practitioner nurse accepted to prescribe me an oestrogen vaginal cream. I’m 14 years post breast cancer and no, it was not too late. Now… I’m ditching the applicator! LOL

  • FDA Roundtable

I will not listen to your pod cast anymore, and removing from my library. Yes you made a political statement. It all needs to be public information for hormones of ALL type. Beautiful panel of women doctors working on our behalf. Glad you did not attend. It’s overdue to get all information out. Good bye.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

S4 Ep196: An Intimate Conversation with the Author of The Intimate Animal, Dr. Justin Garcia
Q: Is lifelong monogamy realistic given evolutionary and social contexts?
Biologists distinguish between social monogamy (pair bonding) and sexual monogamy; while there can be tensions, alignment of these levers with open communication can maintain a strong primary relationship.
S4 Ep196: An Intimate Conversation with the Author of The Intimate Animal, Dr. Justin Garcia
Q: What role does technology play in changing dating dynamics, beyond simply expanding options?
Technology is a vehicle that amplifies data access and choice, but the core issue is cognitive overload and the paradox of choice; the real challenge is maintaining focus and connection with a real partner rather than chasing endless options.
S4 Ep193: Esoteric Symptoms of Menopause with Dr. Makeba Williams
Q: Is there any data on the impact of taking systemic estrogen and dry eyes?
The data is mixed, and while some women report improvement, overall evidence does not support the use of hormone therapy specifically for dry eyes.
S4 Ep193: Esoteric Symptoms of Menopause with Dr. Makeba Williams
Q: What is going on with menopause and hearing loss?
Estrogen influences structures in the ear, and studies show that prolonged estrogen therapy may increase the risk of hearing loss in post-menopausal women.
S4 Ep193: Esoteric Symptoms of Menopause with Dr. Makeba Williams
Q: Is this a temporary perimenopausal thing, or is this something that if someone is experiencing this, it might be a forever thing? Do we know?
It appears to be transient, especially prevalent in women transitioning to menopause, with many reporting symptom improvements as hormonal stability is reached.
