  • Could be great

Aidan’s one on one reviews are great. Very good interviewer and getting better each time. The other two guys though leave a lot to be desired. The topic matter is good, but their delivery and insight is marginal at best. Seems like I’m listening to Reddit commenters.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Nick Schultz breaks down Israel-Premier Tech drama - Hotseat Podcast
Q: How did the collapse of the KTM-sponsored team affect you personally and professionally, and what led you to ultimately sign with Israel Premier Tech?
The collapse caused extreme stress and uncertainty, including hair loss and questions about career longevity. The lifeline came from a late call offering a contract with Israel Premier Tech, which unexpectedly revived his trajectory and proved pivotal for his subsequent career.
Nick Schultz breaks down Israel-Premier Tech drama - Hotseat Podcast
Q: What was the decision behind moving from Caja Rural to GreenEdge, and how did it impact you as a younger rider?
The move represented a stepping stone; Caja Rural was a smaller budget team, so switching to GreenEdge offered better exposure, leadership opportunities, and a clearer path to racing at higher levels, while demanding adaptation and learning of new languages and cultures.
Alex Carrera - The man behind Tadej Pogacar & Isaac del Toro - Domestique Hotseat Podcast
Q: What is your take on sponsorships like the KuCoin deal and philanthropic initiatives tied to athletes?
Sponsorships can fund broader initiatives and foundations; if the money is directed toward helping others and the arrangement is transparent and ethical, it can be justified, though it invites public scrutiny.
Alex Carrera - The man behind Tadej Pogacar & Isaac del Toro - Domestique Hotseat Podcast
Q: What lessons did Pogacar's team learn from the Tour de France injuries and the surrounding media questions?
Protecting sensitive information is crucial to avoid altering race tactics; maintaining calm, controlled communication helps the athlete stay focused on performance during tough stages.
Alex Carrera - The man behind Tadej Pogacar & Isaac del Toro - Domestique Hotseat Podcast
Q: Why do you support long-term contracts in cycling, and do you see a need for buyouts?
Long contracts align the rider and team on a shared, multi-year project; buyouts can be a tool to enable mobility if certain conditions are met, but the rules should be clear to avoid legal disputes and protect smaller teams.
