  • Good interviews and guests

Not sure why this podcasts has got such a low rating? Really enjoying it 🥰 I like the interviews the best with the Aussie guy. He lets them speak and asks good questions. He’s quite likeable and has a good interview style. There are good guests like Christophe, Tim declercq, Alex Carrara, and Mohoric which can’t be easy to line up. Also the adverts are very minimal which is massive - It’s much appreciated. It’s a good supplement to say “the move” or “LRCP” podcast as they don’t do interviews. I... more

  • Could be great

Aidan’s one on one reviews are great. Very good interviewer and getting better each time. The other two guys though leave a lot to be desired. The topic matter is good, but their delivery and insight is marginal at best. Seems like I’m listening to Reddit commenters.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

How Uno-X pulled off the perfect breakaway win - Domestique Hotseat with Johannes Kulset
Q: How did the team react to the stage win and what does it mean for the Giro goals?
The win represents a major milestone for the team, elevating morale and validating the strategy of seeking breakaway opportunities as a viable path to success in Grand Tours, while also setting expectations for late-stage breakaways and continued performances in the final week.
How Uno-X pulled off the perfect breakaway win - Domestique Hotseat with Johannes Kulset
Q: What was the thought on the bus coming into this stage and the plan to win from the break?
The plan was to target a breakaway on a relatively open stage, recognizing that GC contention would be tight and that this stage offered a clear opportunity for a breakaway win, which would be pursued with calculated energy conservation and smart positioning throughout the Giro.
What are Bahrain Victorious' Giro plans? ft. Bahrain's Director Sportif - Domestique Hotseat Podcast
Q: What targets does Bahrain have for the Giro? Are you aiming for a top 5 GC, a stage win, or perhaps the white jersey?
The goal is a top 5 in the GC (5th-8th place range is considered achievable) and to win at least one stage from the breakaway or in a reduced sprint. They will also consider the white jersey depending on how the race unfolds and who emerges as GC contenders.
What are Bahrain Victorious' Giro plans? ft. Bahrain's Director Sportif - Domestique Hotseat Podcast
Q: How many sports directors are there on the Bahrain Victorious roster, and why is the car crew structured that way?
There are eight on the list, plus coaches with DS licenses; multiple DS are needed because in world tour races the team often requires more than one DS to monitor different aspects of the race, with one focusing on driving and the other on tactical communication.
What are Bahrain Victorious' Giro plans? ft. Bahrain's Director Sportif - Domestique Hotseat Podcast
Q: OK, so Gorazd, let's start at the beginning. What does your role entail? What is it that a sports director does?
A sports director follows the races from the car, gives instructions to riders, and does extensive pre-season planning to fit riders into races and optimize their output. The DS also coordinates with coaches and manages logistics, tactics, and on-road decisions.
