  • Nothing else comes close

Love listening to these 4 geeks (in whatever combination). They bring a whole different perspective to shoes with their physio therapy profession which I think is a whole lot more interesting than listening to sponsored shoe reviews with a strong bias.

  • Like’s

I enjoy listening to your knowledge of shoes and running. But Andrea you have to stop saying “like” in almost every sentence. You’re a smart person but it makes you sound dumb.

  • People being excellent at the thing they do.

Great reviews and discussion from a medical perspective. I love that it has a shoe review but its not really from the influencer perspective, they are not just saying the medical words, they understand them. No criticizm, but would love for them to break activities down from an age and experience perspective beyond their normal breakdown. Ex. why a 60 yr old runner should not use or perform...most goals pivot with age or experience.

EIther way, I love this show and look forward to their releas... more

#269 Mailbag! Is Heel Drop a Lie? Toe Numbness? Our 2025 Shoe Rotation?
Q: What shoes would you choose if you had a 5, 4, 3, 2, or 1 shoe rotation?
David suggests three shoes: ASICS Metaspeed Edge Tokyo for racing, ASICS Mega Blast for long runs, and Saucony Ride for daily trainer.
#269 Mailbag! Is Heel Drop a Lie? Toe Numbness? Our 2025 Shoe Rotation?
Q: Matthias asks, how do you choose running shoes specifically for treadmill use?
If you're running on a treadmill, I would suggest sticking with whatever shoe is really best, but whatever your standard training shoe is.
#269 Mailbag! Is Heel Drop a Lie? Toe Numbness? Our 2025 Shoe Rotation?
Q: Are there any good shoes for alleviating pain in the flexor digitorum longus?
Look for something with a moderate stack height or moderate drop, probably stable, neutral, and with a good forefoot rocker without excessive toe spring.
#269 Mailbag! Is Heel Drop a Lie? Toe Numbness? Our 2025 Shoe Rotation?
Q: Do you have any suggestions for a women's shoe that is a heel rocker only shoe?
You have a lot of rounding in the heel, but a flexible and flat forefoot. The Adidas Supernova Rise comes to mind.
#269 Mailbag! Is Heel Drop a Lie? Toe Numbness? Our 2025 Shoe Rotation?
Q: When shoe companies cite a drop figure like eight millimeters, is that consistent across all sizes or is it specific to a size?
Usually the drop angle is measured based on typically men's size nine, from what I understand it. Or some companies will just average it out. But the actual angle will completely change depending on the size.
