Excellent stuff from start to finish...I was totally gripped and hardly got any work done at all! Awesome!
The podiobook was ok. But not in the realm of good. I got bored with it several chapters in and the characters were not rich enough to keep the listener vested in them. There were times when I couldn't keep them straight.
This story also falls into the category of stories centering around New England where they become pretentious sounding and focus on geographical points that have absolutely no bearing to the story. This story could have been set most anywhere, New England was not necessary.

From start to finish I was absolutley hooked! Really worth a listen!
This book is great I am loving the way the reader is able to build up the scenes and suspense. Although I don't know if anyone else found this but the chapters I have downloaded don't last the 45 mins as it says in the store
Good premise. Interesting listening.
Yep ... up to chapter 10 and more to go. So far so very good! John, have you written more? Hope so.
The narration was fine, good even; the random (and few) sound effects were a little jarring from time to time, but the narration was lovely. The writing needed another edit. While nothing was actually *wrong* with it, it did tend to get bogged down and well, a little boring at times. About halfway in, I could barely remember which of the supporting characters was which. It was very slowly paced, and the payoff wasn't satisfying enough to make up for it.
dean koontz rocks really good
