Much enjoyed this podcast and the way the story unfolded. Liked the links between each character, though I found the beginning very repetitive and boring at times.
This podcast has uncovered researched connections that, upon reflection, one knows intuitively must be there for most of us. Should appeal to people interested in race and equity, historians and genaeologists.
I loved this series and cantered through it in 3 sittings. Yrsa weaves the episodes together beautifully and it is incredibly well researched - I had goosebumps throughout. I’m sorry that some reviewers vehemently didn’t seem to ‘get it’. I find historical evidence & human anecdotes carefully crafted into visceral stories for modern ears to be a wonderful thing indeed.
A well researched and very entertaining and educational podcast, anyone who complains about statues coming down or names being changed should listen to this for context
…white man bad. We get it. More unnecessary race baiting, digging over the ifs, buts, maybes of many yesteryear-ago, to the point of achieving nothing but stoking tensions now. The past is past. We’re all descendants of something, someone, but now is not then. more
