We are all surrounded by media representations that center white people. When these narratives become tropes in storytelling, so much harm can be done to BIPOC, especially in the way that our attractions are formed. In this episode, Stephanie Quintan... more

In this episode Nkechi and Myisha examine what was said and unsaid when Oprah interviewed Meghan and Harry back in March. Was too much burden placed on Meghan to explain the racist events that led to her family leaving the Royals behind? And just how... more

Don’t be deterred by the explicit advisory (that warning emanates from a suffocating white hegemony) These two women are refreshing in their honesty and their ‘frankaness’ (see what I did there?) and it would be impossible to discuss the topics they raise with any artificial constraints
Their stories are insightful for anyone who wants to improve any of their relationships, not necessarily just their sexual ones
Very powerful, exceptional explanation and experiences that will have you talking to yourself and speaking as if you’re talking with these women. They’re great and I will continue to listen to their podcast .
I appreciate the hosts perspectives on the reasons why they date white men. I am a black American female who married a white American male so in many ways I can relate to some of the issues that they speak about. However I find myself annoyed at the complaints about being rejected by white men and/or white culture yet the hosts (can’t recall which) continue(d) to seek out love, affection and attention from the same people who reject them. I stay all of that to say that I get it. I understand. Bu... more
So powerful, nuanced, beautiful and inspiring. Highly recommend this podcast for anyone who wants to better understand this cultural moment from the perspective of two brilliant women.
This podcast is a 5/5 in terms of production, delivery, and setup. Nkechi and Myisha are both captivating, and intelligent hosts that are very easy to listen to. But, the show for me (a dark-skinned black woman with 100% African ethnicity and a white male partner; who mostly garners white male attention) has a subtle undertone of...”giving white men passes”. Being impressed by a white man’s feeble attempts at rap, willingness to understand black culture/struggle, etc. tells me that the hosts don... more
How do we ask questions, perhaps for future topics of discussions.
I also grew up mixed race in the whitest state (shoutout Maine) and it’s been difficult to articulate to folks how that shaped my dating preferences.
You guys do an amazing job, and I appreciate the work you are doing AND the opportunity for me to share your podcast with friend and family so they can get a handle on what I feel. Thank you for putting in to words what I haven’t been able to.
I have been a longtime listener of Myisha Battles's excellent podcast, Down For Whatever, and am so excited to here more. These two have a sparkling dynamic.
Counting the days till the next episode! Thanks, you two!
I’m so excited to listen in on these conversations around interracial dating! I’m a Latinx women in Colorado so I’ve dated my fair share of white men. It can be hard navigating discussions around racial differences so I’m hoping to learn more through this podcast!
