Real investigative reporting, my feeling on the Martin interview was very different than what the reporter decided though. There is a type of mother in abusive families who chooses to stick her head in the sand and deny, deny deny. Linda Martin strikes me as just that sort of person.
Such a good series. Most true crime content is discussing those that did not survive. While always emotional to hear those stories, there is something unique about being able to hear from someone who survived. So grateful for Jen to tell all of these women’s stories and for Jane and her bravery to share of her survival.
Stumbled onto this podcast somehow but glad I did. I’ve never heard of these murders, but this podcast humanizes the victims in a respectful way and makes me curious to know more. Being able to listen to Jane and some of the family members of the victims first hand is great, and their interviews were woven in with the rest of her narration really well. I appreciate the calm and thoughtful pace and tone of her storytelling.
I am very big true crime fan and have listened to many multi-episode series. I typically lose interest by the third or fourth episode because they become too repetitive or just straight up boring. Jennifer does an amazing job telling these stories and keeping me interested! I have recommended to many friends. Keep up the good work Jennifer and audiochuck!
I enjoyed this podcast to the end. One thing that irked me was a journalist’s incorrect use of a common word. ACROSSED is not a word. It’s ACROSS.
