i can’t tell you how relieved i am to find an HDM podcast hosted by people that are actually chill and funny and charming with genuinely good takes who aren’t insuffereable dorks and don’t feel the need to constantly make cringe-inducing marvel/harry potter/nerd culture references because they’re actually capable of making real world connections and substantive analysis and not overly hung up on the juvenile *~fantasy~* aspects at the expense of what makes the stpry acrually

I really wanted a book review podcast of HDM and after a few false starts, this is the one I liked the best! The hosts are funny and insightful, would recommend to anyone looking for book and tv show reviews of HDM.
Easily my favourite HDM podcast of the ones I listen to. Listening to their episode discussions is something I look forward to each week. I love their chapter discussion episodes too, always lovely to hear their take on my favourite parts of Northern Lights. Can’t wait for them to cover the other two books!!
Sarah & Chris are wonderful hosts. Thoughtful and funny with excellent chemistry. If you like His Dark Materials you’ll love this podcast.
I really love this podcast. I am super picky about the podcasts I listen to and I was so happy when I found this one. I tried several His Dark Materials shows before I found this one. The hosts are funny and extremely likable. Their coverage is fantastic. My only complaint is that the episodes only come out every two weeks. I need more!! Do yourself a favor and listen to these two, they’re a delight.
