  • Misery loves company

This podcast had the possibility of being great information about fitness. However, there’s so much negativity, insults to their followers, (Beth even insults her own husband and his eating habits). Basically this just seems like miserable people who micro dose CBD, but preach being sober. They both take criticism so personally …it’s the price to pay when you want to be an influencer.

  • Unhinged

If you like a psychopath screeching in your ear, then this podcast is for you. All they do is complain complain complain. They both have become so toxic. I had to block them on my socials so they would quit showing up. They just need to do better. Beth needs major therapy.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

241 - Body Image and Normal Eating With Sarah Tierney
Q: How can someone move toward a healthier relationship with food without labeling themselves as a 'good' or 'bad' eater?
Focus on overall relationship with food and context, develop eating skills, learn to adapt to different eating environments, and emphasize health behaviors rather than weight outcomes.
241 - Body Image and Normal Eating With Sarah Tierney
Q: What does body image mean and why is it complex?
Body image is a multifaceted perception that includes emotional and cognitive aspects, and is shaped by genetics, culture, and personal experiences; there isn't one fixed image, but multiple schemas shaping how we view ourselves.
236 - Answering Your Fitness Questions
Q: Literally, how to begin my health journey. I'm overwhelmed. Where the fuck do I start?
Identify two foundational actions you can do almost every day, such as a 10-minute walk and including vegetables at every meal, to create a simple start that reduces overwhelm and builds momentum.
235 - Finish What You Started
Q: How can Sarah break down at-home Patreon workouts into shorter blocks to start?
Start with the big compound movements, do the first one or two moves for about 15 minutes, then return later to complete the rest. Gradually build back up, and consider splitting sessions into AM/PM while keeping warm-ups and increments in place.
233 - Is America Healthy Yet? With Dr. Jessica Knurick
Q: What would make America healthy again?
On an individual level, people should eat more fruits and vegetables, exercise, and maintain a well-balanced diet. Public health efforts should focus on improving the food environment by addressing agricultural subsidies and making nutrient-dense foods more affordable, as well as regulating food marketing and access to healthier food options.
