  • Alaska boarding history is just the launching point

Cody originally hooked a lot of the Alaskan community with his attention to the history of skate/snowboarding in alaska. From there he has branched out to let his journalistic wings spread as he spotlights figures integral to the survival of culture and community. He turns over the rock and exposes the unsung foundational heroes building up those around them. Thanks for telling the stories Cody.

EP 171 Art and illness with Peter Dunlap‑Shohl
Q: Do you think that Parkinson's helped you out of that rut of misanthropy?
Yes, it was his reaction to Parkinson's that brought a change in perspective, rather than the disease itself.
EP 171 Art and illness with Peter Dunlap‑Shohl
Q: What does that line say about the disease's impact on identity?
It suggests that Parkinson's will take away your identity and the skills you've amassed throughout your life.
EP 171 Art and illness with Peter Dunlap‑Shohl
Q: How soon after your Parkinson's diagnosis did you begin writing My Degeneration?

Chatter Marks EP 124 The sound of remote places with Charles Stankievech
Q: How do you think about truth in the context of your work?
I don't think in terms of truth; as an artist, I create to help people think differently rather than delivering a singular, truthful message.
