Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Trace Adkins: Hilarious, Confused, and SO Talented!
Q: How do you view your level of fame and your place in the industry now?
I'm at a sweet spot where I'm not mobbed all the time, but I can still do what I love, perform at a high level, and balance family life with acting opportunities when they come.
Trace Adkins: Hilarious, Confused, and SO Talented!
Q: What has kept you going for 30 years in a business known for constant change?
I think it's a combination of luck, hard work, and surrounding myself with people who keep me on the road and in the studio, plus staying flexible and continuing to adapt rather than forcing one rigid path.
Chase Matthew: He hits big busting lyin', cheatin' women
Q: What is the message behind the song Darlin?
The song conveys the pain of being lied to in a relationship and the feeling that honesty matters more than sparing someone's feelings, which is why the listener hears both vulnerability and bite in the lyrics.
Maddie & Tae / DRUNK GIRLS PLOTTING IN THE BATHROOM
Q: How do you co-write almost every song on this album amidst your busy lives?
We write very intentionally now because our time is limited, but it gives us more intensity and purpose in our music.
Maddie & Tae / DRUNK GIRLS PLOTTING IN THE BATHROOM
Q: What do you think is the biggest difference between your first album and this one?
The biggest difference is confidence and self-awareness, coming from our experiences and falling down but picking ourselves up.
