  • Great Show, Odd Intro

I dig this show. I really do. Topics are on point, audio has gotten better throughout the years. The big thing for me is the musical intros. It’s just wack. Especially when you got some long intros, it’s just jingle jungle jam thing that doesn’t work for me. Ya’ll don’t need Hans Zimmer, or some ancient rendition of psalms 51, just something else.

  • Classical Theism.

This podcast has taught me a lot about Classical Theism. The doctrines of simplicity, aseity, and immutability have grown my love and joy for God and all that is in him. I have also been encouraged to talk about and teach on these doctrines.

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Why Garrigou-Lagrange matters now
Q: What is your favorite Garrigou book?
His book 'Predestination' is personally my favorite as it presents clear distinctions and connects speculative theory to the spiritual life.
Theology is not an art but a science: Cuddy and Barrett
Q: Can you talk to us about the importance of reason in theology?
Father Cuddy explains that faith-seeking understanding emphasizes the need for reason in understanding theological truths, enabling rational beings to engage with supernatural truths.
The Nicene Creed in the Thirty-nine Articles
Q: Why did the English reformers think it was so important to carve out a space for the creeds in the Articles?
The reformers wanted to situate the Anglican Church within the broader Catholicity of Christendom and avoid accusations of heresy.
Episcopacy and the Succession of Bishops
Q: Where does the Episcopal polity come through in your own story?
Studying church history led me to realize the significance of the threefold order of bishop, priest, and deacon that has persisted since the beginning of the second century.
Episcopacy and the Succession of Bishops
Q: What made you decide on Anglicanism?
I started attending an Episcopal church in Roanoke, Virginia, after being encouraged by a Presbyterian pastor to become a priest and help reform the church.
