Q: What would you tell an entrepreneur in the very early days of turning a concept into a shop-ready product?
Focus on creating incremental value for retailers and distributors, show how your product brings in new shoppers and increases basket size instead of asking them to swap out an existing product.
Actual Veggies
Q: Why did you decide to expand into Dino Nuggets and kids' formats?
To make it easier for families to eat more vegetables at home, focusing on kid-friendly shapes and flavors while maintaining clean ingredients and nutrients.
Actual Veggies
Q: What was that initial concept in the white space you saw when you started?
The idea was to replace meat-centric burgers with veggie burgers that tasted like real vegetables, offering restaurant-quality flavor in the freezer and expanding later into fries, tots, and kid-focused options like Dino Nuggets.

Q: And on the other side, yes, Apples, who's been on the podcast, obsessed with their now rebrand. So, can you walk us through those two sides of the business of building a brand from the ground up and then also brands who are in market, who are now feeling, okay, I'm ready to level up?
We discussed two paths: building a brand from scratch with a Minimum Viable Brand that defines strategy and identity to equip the founder for pitches and funding, and helping existing brands in market to refresh their branding—such as the Yes! Apples rebrand—to create more shelf impact and consumer clarity, balancing nostalgia with modern, practical appeal.
