  • Thank you❤️‍🩹

This podcast is such a godsend. Don’t know how I would have gotten through those first few very fragile weeks after being 👻 by the person I thought I would marry and spend my life with😭 Still not totally on the other side but listening and re-listening when I couldn’t trust my own thoughts was so needed. Gretta’s calming voice of reason and understanding, as well as so many professional guests who know their stuff has been such a guiding light. Thank you❤️‍🩹♥️

Episodes I Love: Why Ghosting is an Ambiguous Loss with Gabriela Vazquez, AMFT, APCC
Q: What are the ways to manage some of the emotions around ambiguous loss?
Some ways include being future-focused, positive self-focus, and finding healthy distractions while remaining aware of the need to process feelings instead of avoiding them.
Episodes I Love: Why Ghosting is an Ambiguous Loss with Gabriela Vazquez, AMFT, APCC
Q: Can you please define ambiguous loss and explain how ghosting can be a form of it?
Ambiguous loss is a relational disorder caused by the lack of facts surrounding the loss of a loved one, and it encompasses both physical absence with emotional presence and vice versa, which can be observed in the case of ghosting.
Ghosting and Mental Health for Cis and Trans Queer Guys: A Conversation with Rahim Thawer
Q: What do you specifically want Cis and Trans Queer Men to know about healing after being ghosted?
We can take some tools that already exist in the world to process the experience of rejection and the experience of ghosting.
Kate Berski on Feeling Behind in Life & Breaking Free from Society’s Timeline
Q: What words of comfort would you offer to help anyone who's listening and struggling with not reaching financial or career goals?
Stop comparing yourself to others and recognize that financial insecurity is common among young adults. Use rejections as opportunities to identify misalignments with your core values and focus on celebrating small wins instead.
Kate Berski on Feeling Behind in Life & Breaking Free from Society’s Timeline
Q: What healing words can you offer to listeners who are feeling very alone right now and disconnected from others?
You are not alone; everyone experiences loneliness, and it's a valid feeling. It tends to show up strongly during transitional times in life, and it's important to acknowledge it as temporary while taking steps to build connections.
