  • 2nd Marriage Prep

My fiancé and I found Connection Codes during our pre-marriage prep. It was my second marriage and his first. There was lots of pain and betrayal, both in past relationships and in our families of origin.

Connection Codes helped us tap in to so much UN-processed emotion and clear the way for a fresh start with our marriage. We are coming up on our one year anniversary and I can’t say that it’s perfect, but I can say even when it’s bad we are still connected. This podcast helps it stay fresh in... more

  • Changing the culture of your family

Life was always so black & white as I made decisions as a young adult. 14 years of marriage and 5 kids later… life feels very gray and messy! We took our foundations class in 2021 and have not stopped learning. Connection Codes has changed our marriage, how we parent, and how we live in community with our church family and in our daily lives. I can hear my 4 year old from the bathroom say “sad!” I ask “What’s happening for you?” And she replies with, “I dropped my toothbrush.” Then I say “Oooo. ... more

The Energy Audit: Why You’re Emotionally Bankrupt by Noon (with Dr. Daryl Appleton)
Q: Can you explain the energy audit and how someone would implement it weekly?
An energy audit involves assessing how much energy different tasks and events require and how return-on-energy varies; by scheduling and communicating bandwidth, people can protect time for high-energy activities and reduce burnout.

The Energy Audit: Why You’re Emotionally Bankrupt by Noon (with Dr. Daryl Appleton)
Q: What keeps people stuck, and what can be done to move past that stuck point?
Stuckness often comes from misalignment, fear, and self-sabotage, with fear of both success and failure cycling people back into inertia; practical steps include clarifying values, conducting energy audits, and using psychological frameworks to create small, actionable changes.
Reclaiming Your Desire: The 5 Things That Will Make or Break Your Marriage, Career, & Mental Health
Q: Can you give us a quick overview of the roadmap for navigating desire?
The roadmap is built around five core desires—wholeness, growth, intimacy, pleasure, and meaning—and the idea that desire should be developed holistically rather than treated as separate, add-on options. People often over-index in one area and neglect others, which leads to conflict; the roadmap guides how to cultivate all five areas in balance.
