It's been a favourite of mine since it came out! Love that it tackles human trafficking which I think people need to be aware of and it does so more realistically than many other stories and films. Characters are so relatable and a good mix of humour and seriousness and everything in between. Love range of personalities too. I was hesitant to download, but I'm really glad I did. Maya Lassiter creates amazingly rounded characters, diverse in every way imaginable. She doesn't just read the book, she tells a story, giving the characters powerful attitude and emotion. And to top it off, she gives us a refreshing look at vampires, and a strong lead female. If you are a fan of fiction, and an avid reader then this book is for you. It's one of those that you don't want to put down, and when you do have to put it down you continue to think about the characters and plot until you can get back to it.
