If you read comic books, this show is for you! The episodes come out the same day as the comic book, so it’s easy to find something new you may want to read, and have a direct line to what the writer was thinking as they wrote the book.
as an aspiring comic book writer/artist, this podcast is an outstanding resource as it provides an insightful peak behind the curtain of professional comic book creation as the writer reads through and breaks down the purpose behind each decision they made in the creative process.
I always look forward to this podcast at work.
Your effort push my runns!
This show is amazing.
The episodes with the late legend Len Wein are amazing glimpses into not just comics, but any intersection of art and commerce.
If you have any interest in how art is made, listen to this.
Never not interesting, often beyond fun and full of laughs.
This show also did help me through my period of losing my eyesight and no longer being able to be the visual artist I was in my career and entire life.
The Comics Panel and the Writers Panel are like getting a college masterclass in writing and applicable business knowledge for free on a weekly basis. Really insightful and inspiring.
It was informative but there were all sorts of issues with the microphone or something. Then a constant pounding noise, like a very loud bass drum or something? It was so distracting while trying to listen. Normally this is not an issue on here but it was really irritating in this particular episode.
This podcast is great!! If you like comics or anything comic related, you should definitely listen to this! The hosts are excellent, the guests are varied and interesting; writers, artists, and other people from the entertainment industry. Very informative and entertaining!
This was at one time my favorite podcast, I think the fact that they only put out podcasts sporadically had me searching for others to fill the void. All in all it's still one of the best podcasts out there offering great interviews with some of the best and brightest stars in comics today.

Ben Blacker is such a good interviewer/panel moderator. It's pretty dang convenient that this is its own podcast now.
If you enjoy behind-the-scenes stories of the comics industry or useful tips and advice on how to improve your own comic book creation skills (and how to manage your career if you're lucky enough to break in), this is definitely the podcast for you.
These guys know comics and the industry. Any aspiring comic writer should give it a listen, as well as any comic fan. Or just anyone interested in writing and creativity.
I've listened to this and the regular Writers Panel for over a year now, and its one of the most insightful podcasts into writing in any medium that I've ever read. They do a great job of finding out everyone's process, as well as keeping every episode fun and enjoyable. Well done guys.
There are a lot of comic book-related podcasts out there, but none of them compare to Nerdist Comics Panel. The hosts are intelligent and upbeat, asking interesting questions, and speak with passion and love for comics. Their opinions are informative and respectful and a joy to listen to. The guests on this podcast, ranging from newcomers to industry legends, are always eager to talk and contribute to stimulating (and wonderfully nerdy) conversation. This is a podcast to learn how comics are mad... more
Hey, I’m late to the party here, having only just listened to the Mark Waid interview from 2015. Mark is always fun to listen to, but I especially appreciate the way this one was moderated. I’m subscribed now, based on just this one podcast.
It got me interested in comics again. They cover everything from Saga to Archie, X-Men to Bizarro.
