I have struggled to do team huddles every morning because of lack of content. Now I listen to one of these podcasts every morning on my way to work. By the time I get there I’m FIRED up and have some content to share. The podcasts interview some of the best agents in the business and I’m constantly learning. If I don’t learn something about processes I have some personal motivation to share with my offices. Way to go you guys you’ve created something incredible here.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

#581: Leading Through the AI Shift with Caroline Stokes
Q: I got a question. Before we get into this merger of how people are trying to figure out and the business owners listening to our podcast try to leverage AI, what kind of impacts do you see on organizations as a whole?
AI will change organizational dynamics by accelerating thinking, enabling larger collaboration, and requiring higher emotional intelligence and psychological safety so teams can act quickly without friction. Leaders must align the team around a common mission and cultivate environments where people feel safe to share and adapt.
#583: Designing a Business That Runs Without You with Jason Henneberry
Q: Where did the OTA framework come from and how is it applied in a real business scenario?
OTA comes from a concept of culture of performance; you define clear outcomes, ensure transparency, and hold people accountable to those outcomes. In practice, you use it to evaluate whether a sales rep or other role truly owns their outcome, with scorecards and coaching to maintain accountability.
#569: Why Most Problems Solve Themselves with Brad Poulos
Q: What was it like running a public company? What did you not like about it that was so different?
Brad explains that public reporting forces you to reveal warts and costs that can be burdensome, and that the cost of being public overwhelmed some of the benefits; he ultimately preferred the autonomy and culture of smaller, privately held ventures.
#563: The Four Forces of Growth with Kevin Lawrence
Q: What are the four forces and how should a business practically apply them?
The four forces map to flight dynamics: focus on opportunities (lift) and courage (thrust) combine to drive growth. Growth comes from doing new things for existing customers or existing things for new customers, with emphasis on core unit metrics and a disciplined, quarterly (or monthly) planning rhythm.
#563: The Four Forces of Growth with Kevin Lawrence
Q: What's your origin story and how did you arrive at coaching and writing those books?
Kevin explains he started in media and advertising, moved into marketing consulting, and discovered that execution and follow-through, not ideas alone, drive results. He found coaching as a way to help clients implement and scale, eventually writing Your Oxygen Mask First and later The Four Forces of Growth.
