Believe it or not, summer nears its end and it's our final trip to the drive-in for 2026. Our headliner is The Devil's Bride (1968) aka The Devil Rides Out. But we didn't pair it with the logical choice from the three movies playing at the Sheridan D... more

On our last episode, #117, Bill Mize met us at the drive-in to discuss “Alice, Sweet Alice.” Here, in an unedited, unfiltered outtake, at least two of the three of us had a lively exchange about, of all things, pro wrestling. I hope you enjoy it…

A 1970s drive-in movie by any other name would be as good... You say Alice, Sweet Alice, I say, Communion, Richard says, Holy Terror, and no one, including this month's special guest, Bill Mize, says The Mask Murders. (Actually, in a rare disagreemen... more

  • Sound is poor

The default noise reduction or auto ducking that is set in your recording software cuts off the first syllable or word of a lot of sentences, making it hard to understand what you are even saying - not good in an audio podcast. Also, you need to invest in a couple of decent lavalier mics at least, or in some other way mitigate the room reverb - it sounds like you are recording with the built in mic of a computer or phone. Anyway, my ears are exhausted and I’m giving up.
