Great podcast for people who live in and around this great city!
Candice is great. I’d enjoy more rants from Candice
Fabulous podcast to really get a suv expense of Tacoma. They get the best guests?
It's rare to get to hear candidates speak for more than a minute or two, so this is a great opportunity to get complete answers to important questions. I enjoy learning more about each candidate's platform, but I especially appreciate getting to know more about them as people. Citizen Tacoma introduces us to candidates much more effectively than print or pixels ever could. I'm so glad this podcast exists!
Insightful interviews and great discussions done in long-form, so much better than sound bites and stump speeches. Great pod for being informed on Tacoma, WA, politics.

Many episodes center on local governance, with in-depth conversations about transit planning, housing affordability, and municipal elections. Long-form interviews with candidates, councilmembers, and regional advocates explore policy trade-offs, funding challenges, and implementation details that shape Tacoma and surrounding areas. The show tends to highlight practical impacts for residents, including how programs get funded, how regulations affect development, and how diverse voices influence city priorities. A notable edge is the sustained, provider-agnostic focus on governance outcomes and subnational policy, rather than broad national politics, making it useful for listeners who want concrete context and actionable local insights.
