Not bad, but the same problem plagues this podcast that plagues Dude & A Monkey, which is just too many umms and ahhs from the main speaker.
I really am girthier!
A really nice mix of news and reviews. Ian knows the industry and it shows. Great fun and fun to listen to!
A nice mix of flicks, I agree with the reviews much more than I disagree, but more importantly its an entertaining podcast. I think podcasting by oneself is a lot tougher than with others, but Ian carries it off easily. Recommended
Cinerama is one of my favourite movie podcasts, easy to listen to and covering plenty of genres, movies old and new. Never condescending or full of techno babble, Ian's reviews are engaging, honest and without bias, definitely recommended! Q
If you want a frank and honest review of films then this is the podcast to grab, Johnathan "Wossy" Ross eat your heart out. Keep up the good work m8!
Regular and insightful podcast from the affable Ian Loring, this is well worth a download if (like me) you love film discussion and trivia. Great stuff, keep it up Ian.
Ian is an insightful reviewer of current releases, but what makes his podcast stand out from the crowd is a sense of fun and genuine appreciation of feedback from his listeners. Movie Marathons, Top Fives and the occasional Drunken Commentary Track add spice to the mix. Give Cinerama a listen. You'll be glad you did.
The first few times I listened to Cinerama I didn't think too much of it. I didn't delete it from my subscriptions so, that is a good sign. Now after about 3 months of listening it is slow becoming one of the first podcasts that I listen to. And being that I work nights by myself anything that makes the night go faster is a blessing. Anyway thanks Ian and Itunes.
Definitely worth a listen. Cinerama is one of my favourite film podcasts. Ian Loring is a likeable and articulate host. The format consists of the usual reviews, news, lists and feedback and is very effective. The podcast is a little ramshackle at times, but it only adds to the charm and may be due to Ian's tendency to consume the occaisional drink or three!
I find the lack of reviews for this wonderful podcast to be disconcerting so I am taking it upon myself to write another review on behalf of Mr. Ian Loring. Why? Because this is a damn good podcast and he deserves it. I find many movie-related podcasts to be little more than meandering, self-indulgent wankfests. What is so refreshing about Cinerama is how succinct and to the point Ian can be. Hearing one person talking passionately about film is a lot more desirable than trying to make sens... more
And for my money (except it's, uh, free) that's a lot more entertaining than listening to the staid, by the numbers criticism so easy to find from a thousand other movie reviewers. Not that Mr. Loring isn't articulate and insightful. He is. But he is also, by turns, silly and pissed off and full of gleeful enthusiam, and I thank him for it.
I met Ian last year at an open air screening of Ghostbusters and ended up spending a weekend following him around like a hyperactive lost puppy. I have never met anyone who knows this much about cinema as this guy. Well worth a listen
Ian's incisive comments are worth a listen and I always make a real effort to listen to the latest episode as soon as it comes out.
I started listening to Cinerama a couple of weeks ago and have now subscribed. Ian sure knows his cinema and whilst I don't always agree with his views they are worth listening to. My tip: give this guy a listen.
