I worked as a technical manager for a church for 9 years and have been professionally mixing audio for 16 years. I started listening after searching for a specific topic but have found that every episode is fulfilling. They have all been either great review for my knowledge, given me new insights/tips, or was simply fun to listen to. Great job and thank you for this resource!
Samantha, James and Gary do a great job of breaking down the basics for someone just starting in production, but also delve into some more advanced things to help you grow both as a person and a team.
Samantha and James give valuable and accessible insights into practical sound matters that affect most church sound people who want to improve things for their congregations, their teams and themselves. Well worth listening!
Edit: also, it’s great to have a wider perspective than your own church and circle of experience. The broader insights are invaluable!
I’m one of a few sound engineers at my local church and I ran across this podcast a few months ago. It has been refreshing hearing techniques and stories that kind of reinforce my knowledge of what I’ve learned in the industry. James and Samantha are very knowledgeable and their conversation is very enlightening and entertaining at the same time.
This podcast is a must listen for audio techs in the church. It has answered questions for me that the musicians couldn't clearly communicate to me. Thanks so much for these podcasts!
