The story is a bit of a slowburn but that’s not necessarily a bad thing here. It has a cosmic horror and body snatcher vibe. I like the format of Mia creating a podcast to explain recording her narration. Actually I think I ended up here from Lovecraft Chronicles so I would say this is like Lovecraft Chronicles for a younger audience.
Was looking forward to this but was disappointed, soundscapes are hardwork dropping from low to high , nice idea but the levels hurt when it hits the high notes not one for headphones . As for the story too much teenage anx for me 🤣 and a lot of repetition.
Unfortunately, I had to drop this podcast half way. The production quality was good, as well as the voice actors, but the writing was so bland I was bored listening. All the episodes are short as well so the pacing was terrible. Everytime I thought the plot would finally start to pick up the episode would end, and come the next episode it was just a slow crawl where it felt like nothing happened. I thought 'that's kinda weird I guess' and that was it, no real hook to discover the mystery.
This podcast was very well done. I couldn’t stop listening! I wasn’t aware that this was a remake of the 1977 children’s series. Will need to watch the original next!
Good podcast. Great voice acting
