There are podcast you can turn on and half listen to. This is not one of them. Such a gripping, weird tale.
The first two season were ok, didn’t really like the narrative style that much but the story was pretty good expect for the end. It is also to slow for a person with adhd and the tone change when getting to the third season was a little jarring. It was ok though. But do watch it on a road trip through the us.
Way too slow. I couldn’t make it through the second episode. It might get better, but I’m not gonna waste my time finding out.
So I don’t even need to say anything other than 5 stars… this podcast is near the top of my all time favorites. For its universe building to writing and delivery. If you haven’t listened. Do it.
Especially, oh dear god, especially if you are on a road trip in the US.
It’s like the perfect mystery to keep you alert on the road, looking off in the distance, waiting for your next stop. And what that might hold. What you might be able to see through, now. That you know.

While everything about this is objectively good, I just do not care for the style of the narration. It feels a lot less like an “audio drama” and a lot more like an audiobook.
I only listened to a few episodes, and I was hugely disappointed, as the whole thing is told from just the inner monologue of the narrator. It’s beautiful and descriptive prose.
