I was backpacking when the fire happened and remember it well. Having spent a couple of days in Childers and visited the memorial I searched out more info on the fire and found this podcast. The people of Childers really are a special group. Prepare for tears when listening.
Such a well put together podcast - incredibly hard to listen to at times but such a very sad event well told.
