Love the theme song and family dynamic. It’s really great to have an audio drama with everyday people doing everyday things. Sound is used interestingly and well. Acting is good and the voices are distinct. Some of the narration — just a few spots — is unnecessary.
A great show about personal exploration and discovery. I love the characters and the mother/daughter dynamic (or lack thereof). more
A fun story to follow along with and BE in the places Selah visits and feel her emotions while dealing with mom and exploring new people and environments. Finally podcasting is being explored by Creatives of Color! Open the gates, we are HERE.
I'm really enjoying how this story is unfolding. I feel like I know some of these characters and see myself in them as well. more
Creative, interesting premise with complex characters....very excited about this yoga audio drama from Beandrea July. Intrigued to continue listening as this story unfolds!
This first episode drew me in immediately. The sound effects and voices blend seamlessly and I felt invited in to the world of the story. Looking forward to getting to know the characters and hearing their journey unfold!
These characters sing, vibrate (pun intended!) and glory in this engaging story - the poignant complexity of being young Selah with a charismatic preacher Mom... Omg, loved the characters, the vibrant sound effects - 'can't wait for the next episode!
I can’t wait to hear more of this! I’m already leaning in with soooo many familiar experiences tiled together in the trailer alone: the yoga mat, the prayin’ church mama, the retreat center, grad school. Looking forward to how this story unfolds!
