  • Excellent podcast for the betterment of men

Mickey is much sharper than he lets on. Really enjoy the work you do; you’ve introduced me to people I’d never normally hear about.

As a physician, I do have to say that this Brian MacKenzie guy- there’s actually a lot of value in his underlying message, BUT he’s ruining his credibility by going into endocrinology, neurobiology, & biochemistry that he doesn’t grasp. Which really rubs a doc like me the wrong way bc you’re oversimplifying and misinforming. Sorry for the rant- Carry Trainer rocks!... more

School of the American Rifle | Higher Line Podcast #273
Q: Do you have brands you recommend or avoid when buying a new rifle?
I avoid rigid brand endorsements; I emphasize compatibility, fit, and the purpose of the build, noting that quality and reliability can change over time and different models may perform differently; test and verify rather than rely on brand reputation alone.
School of the American Rifle | Higher Line Podcast #273
Q: Give me the top thing that people get wrong about AR-15s like maintaining them.
Many people over-clean or over-lubricate, treating ARs as delicate machines while actually being robust and reliable if properly lubricated; the key is balanced maintenance rather than excessive cleaning.
He Fights the ATF and Wins | Higher Line Podcast #271
Q: What are the fundamentals that beginners should focus on before chasing long-range capabilities?
Focus on fundamentals like stable shooting position, trigger control, and consistent ammunition. Practice dry firing to build the correct sequence, and only then expand to longer distances or more complex wind calls.
What's a Sheriff's Job | Higher Line Podcast #268
Q: What should people pay attention to when a sheriff race is going on in their community?
People should understand the needs of their community and ensure the sheriff can articulate their ideas, values, and plans for public safety.

Q: What's the biggest threat to the republic right now in your opinion?
The degradation of civic duty that has been highly amplified by social media.
